As well as work in the legal, accountancy and property sectors, 2013 and 2014 saw me working outside the professions.
Creative sector
A major client during 2012 was D&AD (www.dandad.org) a £4.7m not for profit membership organisation representing the global creative, design and advertising communities for whom I did some strategic work on its professional learning and development division. This work concluded during 2013. I also provided some training for the team at a specialist PR agency.
My long association with the leading London portal All in London (www.allinlondon.co.uk) continues and I regularly write three blogs (KimT- Kids in London, MayB – Events in London and the London Dog Blog – see blogs for the links) for them and review restaurants, pubs, theatre productions and events.
Technology sector
In the technology sector, I have been helping with the development of case studies of clients in the charities and educational sector for major accounting software company PS Financials Ltd (www.psfinancials.co.uk). I also did some strategic brainstorming with an innovative platform development company.
It was nice to be invited back to Brightwave – one of the leading e-learning, on-line training consultancies and product developers – to do some strategic work late 2013.
Construction sector
In 2012 I did some work with Arup and during 2013 I worked with specialist construction consultancy firm mbrss.
Education sector
Whilst my role as School Governor ended in 2012, I continued to work with various education organisations during 2013. I helped with the development of an innovative Masters course on business management for post-graduate technology, science and maths students at Kingston University. I also spent some time in Frankfurt providing project management training on behalf of Cambridge Marketing College.
As in previous years, during 2013 I continued to provide training courses for Professional Marketing (PM) Forum – The popular courses for marketing and business development assistants, executives and managers as well as sessions on social media, writing, pitching, account management, project management, assertiveness and planning to name a few.
Some of my educational, training and writing projects are described in the knowledge update section.
