New Leadership Development Programme from the Managing Partners’ Forum – Consensus through Collaboration

I’m excited to announce that the Managing Partners’ Forum has just launched a series of six modules for an innovative leadership development programme for firm-wide leaders of small and medium sized professional services firms. Versions for divisional, functional and aspiring leaders are expected in 2024. I have supported Richard Chaplin at the Managing Partners’ Forum since June 2022 on the research, feasibility, design and development of the programme – and discussions with six amazing speakers – so it is gratifying to see the finished product! So here is an overview of the new Leadership Development Programme from the Managing Partners’ Forum – Consensus through Collaboration.

Why is the Managing Partners’ Forum Leadership Development programme different?

  • It fills the critical gaps in leadership programmes
  • Is developed and delivered by world-class programme leaders with experience of professional services firms
  • Each module centres on a high-quality, interactive, half-day, in-person workshop with between eight and 12 participants
  • Each workshop is within a two-day programme of activities undertaken at the leaders’ own pace
  • Modules include obligatory and optional learning activities embedded within an innovative online system – People Alchemy | Automated Learning Workflow Platform – which allows measurement of the financial gain from learning
  • The fee includes access to assessments, articles and books by the programme leaders and other learning resources
  • It offers pathways to highly regarded leadership qualifications – specifically the Institute of Directors Chartered Director qualification
  • Provides an opportunity to work with leaders of professional services firms – sharing ideas and views in a confidential and comfortable environment

How does this Leadership Development programme work?

Each module comprises a half-day, in-person workshop with a minimum of eight and no more than 12 participants (a maximum of two people from any one firm).

To maximise the learning transfer, leaders are guided through a series of obligatory and optional assessments and activities before (Prepare), during the workshop (Participate) and after (Activate) which they tackle in their own time, at their own pace.

All learning resources and activities are within an innovative online learning transfer platform – People Alchemy | Automated Learning Workflow Platform

This means that the learning in a four-hour workshop is supplemented with up to 12 additional hours of learning.
